Many toddlers and children who have vision problems do not know they have blur vision since they do not know what clear vision is. As such, some children live through their learning years suffering from poor vision, leading to poor development and learning.

Early detection is key, and the role of parents and educators is indispensable. However, eye screening is not universally conducted in each country.
